The correct answers are:

B. a way to increase resource use;

D. a way to reduce solid waste;

The process of recycling has two very positive aspects, one being the increasing usage of a single resource for a much longer time, and the other being environment friendly, by reducing the solid waste and thus reducing the pollution.

With the recycling, one material that has been used for manufacturing something, can be taken back instead of being thrown away, and the same material can be used again in order to produce something from it. This process can repeat itself multiple times for the same material.

Also, the environment is less polluted with the usage of this method, because the millions of tons of solid waste that would usually be just thrown away, are actually gathered and used all over again, thus being very ecologic.

The country that is a leader in recycling in the world is Slovenia.

In regards to trees and logging the sustainable use of wood or paper would seek to continue the longevity and vitality of the forests by not overusing these products. Sustainable use will use a resource at a rate that will allow for natural replenishment or incremental use of the resource to prevent harm to the environment and allow the resource to be used far into the future.
