How did the Cherokee tribe attempt to negate President Jackson’s attempts to move Native Americans west of the Mississippi?
Vaselesa [24]
C--they sued the Federal government.

In the Cherokee Nation v. Georgia, the Cherokee attempted to plead their case to the Supreme Court that they could not create treaties with Georgia and they had a treaty protecting their land in Georgia. They won the case, but Jackson refused to enforce the court's ruling.
