The right answer is A. The chaos caused by the demand for slaves prevented talented individuals from participating in the culture and economy of Africa.

The chaos generated for almost 4 centuries of slavery marked profoundly, every aspect of Africa. Studies show that dozens of millions of Africans were forced to this trade, culminating in political structures severely damaged. Talented individuals were dissolved in the enslaved wave that took control of the continent between the 15th to the 19th century.  It is estimated that the population of Africa remained stagnant until the end of the nineteenth century. Social relations were restructured and traditional values were subverted.
