Yes, to find the area of a rectangle you do base times height, in this case 20 x 10.
But, if you look at the shape, there is a little corner cut off of the shape.
That means that you have to add some steps to solving it.

You can see that there are two sides shorter.
One is 16 instead of 20, and the other is 8 instead of 10.
That means that the dimensions of the triangular cutout is 4 x 2, since one side is 4 m shorter and the other 2 m shorter.

The cut-off piece is a triangle, so the area of the triangle won't be 4 x 2 it will be half of that.
4 x 2 = 8, and 1/2 of 8 is 4.

That means 4m has been cut off of the rectangle.
Initially, the rectangle was 200 m².
Subtract 4 m², and the actual area of the shape is...
Dun dun dun...
196 m²!

Hope this helps!

Y+2x=2 find the slope of every line perpendicular to the graph of the equation
REY [17]

Answer:

m_{perpendicular} = \frac{1}{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

the equation of a line in slope- intercept form is

y = mx + c ( m is the slope and c the y- intercept )

given

y + 2x = 2 ( subtract 2x from both sides )

y = - 2x + 2 ← in slope- intercept form

with slope m = - 2

given a line with slope m then the slope of a line perpendicular to it is

m_{perpendicular} = - \frac{1}{m} = - \frac{1}{-2} = \frac{1}{2}

75 POINTS TO THE FIRST PERSON TO ANSWER ALL OF THESE WITH ALL WORK SHOWN. GEOMETRY. THANK YOU

<span>(x – h)</span>2<span> + (y – k)</span>2<span> = r</span><span>2

h is your x value and the opposite of k is your y value. r is the radius

so, in the first equation, your center would be (-4,2) and the radius would be 5 because you take the square root of r

So plot (-4,2) and count 5 units left, right, up, and down from that point.

Do the same thing for the second circle. The center is (2,-1) and the radius is 5.6 units

The other graphs are pretty much the same way.

For number 7, plot the center and the other set of coordinates. Count the distance between the center and that point and that is your radius

For number 6, plot the center, and to get the radius, take half of the diameter.

For the last one you have to use the distance formula</span>
