Riley rakes 1/6 of a lawn in 2/3 hour. How many lawns can Riley rake per hour?
Butoxors [25]

Answer:

Riley rakes 1/4 of the lawns per hour.

Step-by-step explanation:

It is given that,

Riley rakes 1/6 of a lawn in 2/3 hour.

We need to find how many lawns can Riley rake per hour.

In 2/3 hour Riley rakes 1/6 of a lawn

In 1 hour Riley rakes \dfrac{1}{6}\times \dfrac{3}{2}=0.25 = 1/4 of a lawn.

Hence, Riley rakes 1/4 of the lawns per hour.

Can anyone answer this?<br> x+1&lt;5
Sliva [168]
X + 1 < 5
x < 5 - 1
x < 4

u basically solve it like equations except for one important rule....with inequalities, when u multiply/divide by a negative number, the inequality sign changes directions. But we didn't have to deal with that rule in this particular problem

Felix's parents opened a savings
Crazy boy [7]

The money in the Felix's account will be $6798 when he is 21.

<u>Step-by-step explanation:</u>

It is given that,

  • The amount deposited is $2000.
  • The account earns 6%  compound interest.
  • It is compounded  annually for 21 years.

<u>To find the money in Felix's account after 21 years :</u>

The formula used here is,

⇒ A = P(1+r/n)^{nt}

where A is the amount after 21 years.

  • P is the initial amount deposited ⇒ P = 2000
  • r is the rate ⇒ r = 0.06
  • n is the number of times interest is compounded per year⇒ n = 1
  • t is the time period ⇒ t = 21

⇒ 2000(1+0.06/1)^{21\times 1}

⇒ 2000(1.06)^{21}

⇒ 2000\times3.399

⇒ 6798

Therefore, The money in the Felix's account will be $6798 when he is 21.

Question: Find m HK...
Serhud [2]

Answer:

104degrees

Step-by-step explanation:

From the given diagram, line LJ bisects KN, hence arcKL = arcHJ

Given

arHJ = 4x

arc KJ = x+39

Equating both

4x = x+39

4x - x = 39

3x = 39

x = 39/3

x = 13

Since arcHK = arcHJ + arcKJ

arcHK = x+39+4x

arcHK = 5x+39

arcHK = 5(13) + 39

arcHK = 65+39

arcHK = 104degrees

Hence the measure of arcHK is 104degrees
