Answer:

In response to a body temperature above the set point, two effector responses in mammals could be sweating and panting.

Sweating and panting are two processes which are responsible for maintaining thermoregulation in the body. Thermoregulation maintains necessary heat energy in the body. Sweating is a process of removal of water from the body as a result of hot weather conditions. Loss of water occurs from skin. This water when comes in contact of air gives an affect of coolness, hence, keep the body cool in hot climate.

Panting is a process of loss of water in evaporation from the moist lining of the oral cavity and pharynx as a method of temperature regulation in the body.

Anna applies a force of 84n Nto lift her baby nephew 2.0 m. How much work
does Anna do? Answer
natima [27]

Answer:

168 J

Explanation:

Work can be calculated using the following formula.

w=f*d

where w is work, f is force, and d is distance.

Anna applied a force of 84 Newtons, and lifted the baby 2.0 meters.

f=84 N

d=2 m

Substitute these variables into the formula.

w=84 N* 2 m

Multiply

w=168 N-m

A N-m is the same as a Joule, or J.

w= 168 Joules

Anna does 168 Joules of work.

Advocard [28]
As the name says the goal of the descriptive investigation is to describe.
This type of investigation has no hypothesis, but only a question. With this type of investigation Tyler will be able to observe all types of insects and study the insects in many various aspects and provides a bigger overview, because it uses both quantitative and qualitative data.

Transcription in bacteria differs from transcription in a eukaryotic cell because __________________________. (a) RNA polymerase
Serggg [28]

The correct answer is: (a) RNA polymerase (along with its sigma subunit) can initiate transcription on its own.

More differences between prokaryotic and eukaryotic transcription:

• In prokaryotes transcription occurs in the cytoplasm (unlike in eukaryotes in nucleus) and it is simultaneous with translation,

• In prokaryotes there is only one type of RNA polymerase (in eukaryotes there are three types of them).

• There is no sigma subunit in eukaryotes, the initiation of transcription begins thanks to initiation factors.

• Promoter region in prokaryotes contains pribnow box, while in eukaryotes it contains TATA and CAT box.
