Sympathy for the rural workers, many who were underpaid veterans of the Revolutionary War. It was all or nothing for Shay despite the fact that he broke the law. Reconcile.the views of these different groups are  irreconcilable  

Many workers who were rural workers were not paid well according to or compared to the work they did.Also those who were injured during the course of duty and others work related mental emotions and disabilities did not receive compensation benefits in Massachusetts. this makes the different groups irreconcilable.
