Anvisha [2.4K]

Answer:

The independent variable is how many maps/charts are made by a student.

Explanation:

The independent variable refers to the variable the researcher will manipulate while the dependent variable is the variable that is affected by the manipulation of the independent variable.

This means that the dependent variable outcome will depend on other variable which is the independent one.

In this example, you predict that exam scores are higher for students who created more maps/charts. In other means, the exam scores are being affected by the making of maps/charts to study (if you make more maps/charts, THEN you get a higher score). You can decide on how many maps/charts you will make but you cannot decide on what score you'll get on the exam, since you can manipulate the amount of maps/charts you will make, this is the independent variable.

Therefore, the independent variable is the making of maps/charts.

Scilla [17]

Buck utilized System 2 of his cerebrum to figure his exercise plan, yet then surrendered to System 1 when he chose to sleep in.

System 1 and System 2 are two particular methods of decision making: System 1 is a programmed, quick and regularly oblivious state of mind. It is self-governing and productive, requiring little vitality or consideration yet is inclined to biases and methodical blunders. System 2 is an effortful, moderate and controlled way of thinking. Which explains why Buck chose to sleep :)

“Speak softly and carry a big stick” was a phrase TR said. What does it mean? what does it mean for foreign policy ? PLZ HELP
horsena [70]
Speak softly: stay calm and speak to others rationally without forcing your opinion on others.

Carry a big stick: know you have huge assets and powers that can be used only if necessary.

Foreign Policy: TR wanted to deal with other countries in a peaceful, non-threatening manner, but would remind other countries of the vast US powers (big stick) if necessary.

Hope this helps! :)
