Answer:

The English general and founder of the colony of Georgia was James Oglethorpe.

Explanation:

In 1732, Oglethorpe and his fellow associates were given a royal concession for the province of Georgia between the Savannah River and the Altamaha.

Georgia was a key area between two colonies. It was Oglethorpe's idea that the prisoners for debts were released and sent to Georgia. Although it has often been repeated that Britain would thus have rid itself of undesirable elements, it was precisely the "precious poor" that Oglethorpe wished to have in Georgia. In the end, however, there were few of them who moved there, while the settlers included Scots with pioneering spirit, poor English traders and artisans, refugees for religious reasons from Switzerland, France and Germany and a number of Jewish refugees.

The oedipus complex is thought to occur in which stage of psychosexual development?
Finger [1]

Answer:

Phallic.

Explanation:

The Oedipus complex is part of Freud's psychosexual theory. This theory states that as we grow old we go through different stages, and this stages start since the moment of birth and until adolescence and adulthood.

The stages are:

  1. Oral
  2. An al
  3. Phallic
  4. Latency
  5. Genital.

The Oedipus complex is the most important characteristic of the phallic stage.

The name of this complex derives from a Greek myth in which Oedipus kills his father and marries his mother (unknowingly). Once he discovers what he did, he pokes his eyes and becomes blind.

According to Freud, children from 3 to 6 years old go through this Phallic stage and the conflict arises when the boy develops desires for his mother.  Since he cannot take her mom as "spouse" the boy resolves this problem by imitating masculine dad-type behaviors and this is how boys resolve the Oedipus complex.

Historically what kind of relationship has the press had with the government?
tekilochka [14]

Historically the press has had an adversarial relationship with the government.

The word adversarial here means a relationship that is full of a lot of conflicts, oppositions and anger.

The reason for this is because the press is often charged with revealing or exposing the ills, the weaknesses and the wrongs of the government.

The constitution of the country recognizes the freedom of the press. So it is difficult for most governments to try to control them.

GUYS ANSWER THIS QUESTION PZLZ ASAP
svetlana [45]

Answer:

An example of being socially responsible would be donating money to an organization that works against social injustice, such as the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation. Instead of using that money for my benefit, like buying something I want, I understand that society as a whole would benefit from that same amount of money, making it a social responsibility to donate.

Explanation:

However, being socially responsible also requires a careful decision on which organization to donate to. Many people have donated to the Black Lives Matter Foundation, which, despite its name, aims to enhance unity with the police department, a goal opposite to the Black Lives Matter movement, which demands the defunding of law enforcement to finance endangered communities.
