Scarf area is 8 small fabric area
8 x 0.25 x 0.25 =0.5.
7 scarf area would be
7 x 0.5 = 3.5
new fabric (large ) area is
2 x 0.25 = 0.5
7 scarf area divide by new fabric area
3.5 divide by 0.5 = 7 large pieces

Which expressions are equivalent to the given sort 40 (there is more than one and the one selected is correct)
Basile [38]

Answer:

40 {}^{ \frac{1}{2} }

Step-by-step explanation:

The last one is also the answer

Using the rational exponet rule,

\sqrt[n]{ {x}^{m} }  = x {}^{ \frac{m}{n} }

Using this number,

\sqrt{40}

40 is the base so it will stay same. Remember this is a square root sign so our nth root is 2 so our denominator if the rational exponet is 2.

40 {}^{1}  = 40

so our numerator is 1 so

40 {}^{ \frac{1}{2} }

What is the formula for the system of equation usign the substitution?
olga_2 [115]
We can substitute<span> y in the second </span>equation<span> with the first </span>equation<span> since y = y. The solution of the </span>linear<span> system is (1, 6). You can use the </span>substitution method<span> even if both </span>equations<span> of the </span>linear<span> system are in standard form. Just begin by solving one of the </span>equations<span> for one of its variables.</span>
