4-2x-14=3x+15
-10-2x=3x+15
-2x-3x=15+10
-5x=25
your answer is x=-5

4 - 2(x + 7) = 3(x + 5)
4 - 2x - 14 = 3x + 15
-10 - 2x = 3x + 15
-10 - 15 = 3x + 2x
-25 = 5x
-25/5 = x
-5 = x <==

The pressure at sea level is 1 atmosphere and increases at a constant rate as depth increases. When Sydney dives to a depth of 2
mylen [45]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

We are told that pressure at sea level is 1 atmosphere and increases at a constant rate as depth increases.

We are provided two points as (0,1) and (23,3.3). To find function's formula we will find the line which passes through these points.

First of all we will find slope of this line.

Now we will find equation of this line in slope intercept form.

Our equation for this line will be .

Now let us write this for x as a function of p,

Therefore, our function's formula will be p(x) = 0.1x + 1.

Confidence Interval Application Many people feel that the drying of pavement marking paint is much too slow. You spend several d
djyliett [7]

Answer:

The sample size is  n =33

Step-by-step explanation:

From the question we are told that

  The margin of error is E  =  1.5 seconds

   The standard deviation is  s =  4 seconds

 Given that the confidence level is 97% then the level of significance is mathematically represented as

      \alpha =( 100 -97)\%

=>   \alpha  =  0.03

Generally from the normal distribution table the critical value  of  \frac{\alpha }{2} is

   Z_{\frac{\alpha }{2} } =  2.17

Generally the sample size is mathematically represented as

    n  =[  \frac{Z_{\frac{\sigma }{2 } } *  \sigma }{E} ]^2

=> n  =[  \frac{2.17  * 4 }{1.5} ]^2

=>  n =33

Could someone please tell me or explain how to solve these types of equations?? you don’t have to do these problems specifically
Lunna [17]
Okay so you know a straight line is equal to 180 degrees, so you set them up in an algebraic equation. (5x+2)+48=180 subtract 48 first to get 5x+2=132 Subtract the 2 this time to get 130. Now you end up with 5x=130. Here you divide 130 by 5 to get X=26. If you just need to find the degree of that angle tho you can stop after the first subtraction because the math tells you (5x+2)=132 degrees.
