Who developed the earliest system for the classification of animals? mendel darwin aristotle linnaeus
Scilla [17]
The correct answer is ‘Aristotle’. Aristotle and Plato developed the idea of ranked classification. Ranked classification involves two names, one for the genus and a second part. For example, in ‘Canis lupus’ (wolf), ‘Canis’ is the genus name and shared by all close relatives, and ‘lupus’ is specific to the wolf.

Following cytokinesis in an animal cell, how many centrioles does each new daughter cell possess?
nika2105 [10]

Answer:

two (a pair)

Explanation:

Centrioles are the pair of hollow cylinders that are located near the nucleus in the cytoplasm in a non-dividing cell. Two centrioles together make a centrosome. Centriole duplication occurs before cell division as the duplicated centrioles take part in the formation of the spindle apparatus. However, cytokinesis distributes one pair of centrioles to each daughter cell. Therefore, after cytokinesis, two centrioles are present in each daughter cell.

Fungi of the phylum basidiomycota form mycorrhizal associations with orchids, a type of flowering plant. How do these associatio
Lelu [443]

Answer: C. The orchids receive water and oxygen from the fungi, while the fungi receive food and minerals from the orchids.

Mycorrhizal association refers to the mutualistic symbiotic relationship between a fungi and roots of vascular plants. In this type association both partners are benefited.

The plant roots are unable to take nutrients which are chemically or physically immobilized in the soil. The mycelium of the mycorrhizal fungus helps to avail those nutrients to the plants. Thus plants are able to obtain phosphates and iron through these fungi. These fungi also, increase the water absorption capacity of plants. In return the fungi receives the direct access of carbohydrates like glucose and sucrose. These carbohydrates translocate from leaves to roots, from there fungi receives these carbohydrates as food source.

The plant orchid and fungi of phyllum basidiomycota form mycorrhizal association, which is a mutalistic association. Thus, the orchids receive water and oxygen from the fungi, while the fungi receive food and minerals from the orchids.

Troyanec [42]

Answer:

Pilar ended up conforming to this particular social setting's negativity.

Explanation:

Pilar's co-workers do not show support for the causes in which she participates, on the contrary, they underestimate her and denigrate the capacities she has and the possibility of being rewarded for the hard work she intends to do. This does generate an environment full of negativity, which can harm everyone involved. The fact that Pilar, overcoming this environment, winning the prize and giving a sincere speech, regardless of what her colleagues said, shows that she got used to and adapted to a place with this type of negativity.
