Scout first notices a change in Atticus' behaviour towards Alexandra after both of them had spoken with each other and argued about the employment of Calpurnia. Atticus was becoming more stressed as the upcoming trial was approaching and how Alexandra's comments had finally got to him. Atticus was a man who was against prejudice and he was tired of Alexandra trying to have Calpurnia fired. Alexandra had tried to take over the family household since she had arrived from Finch's landing, Atticus was well aware of this and confronted Alexandra. All of these events play a part in driving Atticus to breaking point and show how he changes throughout the story and his fmaily begins to notice.

The Cunninghams are a poor farming family in Maycomb. They are hard-working, but are not aware of many social cues, as they spend most of their time working on the farm. Walter Cunningham Sr. is a good man overall, but gets swept into the racism and hive-mindedness of the town.

The Ewells are also a poor family in the area, but do not have a good reputation in Maycomb. They live in a run-down part of town, their children only go to school the first day of the school year each year to sneak their way around the law, and their father is known around town for being a low-life. This proves to be true in the courtroom scene, when we find that Bob Ewell is also an abusive liar.

It burns the prettiest of any wood. is it right?
makvit [3.9K]

Answer:

"It burns the prettiest of any wood" is a phrase that, through allegory, focuses on the concept of equality, by establishing that everything that has the same characteristics will ultimately have the same result, since the intrinsic equal nature of things means that, despite minor differences, this difference is not seen in the essence of the thing. Thus, all those things that are essentially the same, such as wood, beyond their minor characteristics (beauty, for example) are equal to each other and therefore will burn in the same way.
