Explain prime factorization of 2025

Mathematics
1 answer:
gregori [183]3 years ago

Hi , we are going to begin with the numbers that are divisible with 2025 .
Basically I'm aware that 2 is not divisible , so we are going to use 3 .
2025 divided by 3 = 675 divided by 3 = 225 divided by 3 = 75 divided by 3 = 25 divided by 5 = 5
I used 5 because I cant use 3 , in other words you can divide 25 and 3 , but you will not get  a whole number .I stopped when I divided 25  and  5 because  I got 5  which is a  [prime number] , when you are doing this type of exercises , when you see a prime number you have to stop.
So the prime factorization is 3 times 3 times 3 times 3 times 5 times 5.

I was collected 15.6 L of rainwater last year. This year, she collected 11.4 L. What percent decrease is that? Round your answer
Nina [5.8K]

Answer:

This is 27% decrease.

Step-by-step explanation:

The amount of rainwater collected last year was 15.6 L, and this year it was 11.4 L, this means 15.6 L-11.4 L= 4.2 L less water was collected this year than last year.

This 4.2 L is

\frac{4.2L}{15.4L}*100

percent of the amount of water collected last year. Evaluating this we get:

\frac{4.2L}{15.4L}*100=0.269*100=26.9%

Rounding to the nearest percent this is 27%.

Thus, the percent decrease in the amount of rainwater collected is 27%.
