Explanation: This helps the resident hear and understand what is being said and can lead to an easier route for redirection. I now this now by volunteering at a memory care home for dementia patients, a lot of the times they simply forget what they are doing or even who they are and that can be frightening to many. Imagine trying to diffuse a patient with loud noise blaring in the background, not exactly ideal...
