As the baby boomers age, there will be a huge increase in the number of people seeking routine health care from their family doctors as well as from medical specialists. Medical assistants will be needed to help handle this influx of patients to keep the medical office functioning efficiently.

Aging boom will affect the health care professional and healthcare in an uncertain way. This area is not a simplest one that a prediction can be made about future.

As we can see that chronic disease has become common among the old age peoples. More than half of the person above age 60 has one of the chronic diseases like hypertension diabetes, heart disease, etc.

There is a strong chance of many healthcare profession to be emerged in the future like health assistant, personal nurse, physician assistant, personal physical therapist, etc.
