I believe that the statement is true. Alcohol absorption happens more quickly when the stomach is empty since there is no resistances for the absorption. It directly goes to the membranes then to the blood stream. Hope this answers the question.

Indeed, it's true because the alcohol absorption is higher.

Absorption corresponds to all the phenomena involved in the transfer of a substance from its site of administration to the bloodstream. This stage of the fate of the substance in humans is essential to study because it can be at the origin of a significant variability of the response to this substance.

In total the amount of alcohol absorbed will depend on:

• Of its physicochemical properties:

• enzymatic activity of enterocytes

• The patient himself with all factors affecting gastric pH, gastric emptying and intestinal motility, whether these factors are physiological (age, diet ...), pathological (digestive or hemodynamic) or medicated.

If the stomach is empty, there will be no competition between the absorption of alcohol and that of other substances.

AB blood type in humans as well as, red and white striped flowers are examples of this type of inheritance pattern.
Sati [7]

Answer:

The inheritance pattern is CODOMINANCE

Explanation:

Codominance is a type of non-mendelian inheritance i.e. does not follow Mendel's principles of inheritance, in which two alleles of a gene are both dominant, hence, they are both simultaneously expressed in that gene.

Examples or cases of codominance are the AB blood type in humans where alleles A and B are both expressed in the gene. Also, red and white striped flowers in certain plants is an example of codominance as red and white alleles are both expressed.
