Answer:

Advance tickets cost $30; same-day tickets cost $35.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let a = the cost of an advance ticket

and s = the cost of a same-day ticket

We have two conditions:

                                                         (1)                  a + s = 65

                                                         (2)        15a + 20s = 1150

Subtract a from each side of  (1)     (3)                       s = 65 - a

Substitute (3) into (2)                         15a + 20(65 - a) = 1150

Distribute the 20                             15a + 1300 - 20a  = 1150

Combine like terms                                     1300 - 5a = 1150

Subtract 1300 from each side                               -5a = -150

Divide each side by -5                    (4)                     a = 30

Substitute (4) into (1)                                          30 + s = 65

Subtract 30 from each side                                     s = 35

Advance tickets cost $30; same-day tickets cost $35.

Check:

(1) 30 + 35 = 65     (2) 15 × 30 + 20 × 35 = 1150

            65 = 65             450    +    700    = 1150

                                                         1150 = 1150

67.498 to the nearest whole number
insens350 [35]

Answer:

67

Step-by-step explanation:

To round 67.498 to the nearest whole number consider the tenths’ value of 67.498, which is 4 and less than 5. Therefore, we have to round down: the whole number ones place value of 67.498, 67, remains 67, and the decimal point and all digits (.498) are removed.

67.498 rounded to the nearest whole number = 67

What is the range of the function in the graph?
Verdich [7]

The range of the function in the graph given can be expressed as: D. 20 ≤ s ≤ 100.

<h3>What is the Range and Domain of a Function?</h3>

All the possible set of x-values that are plotted on the horizontal axis (x-axis) are the domain of a function. In order words, they are the inputs of the function.

On the other hand, all the corresponding set of x-values that are plotted on the vertical axis (y-axis) are the range of a function. In order words, they are the outputs of the function.

In the graph given below that shows a function, s is plotted on the vertical axis (y-axis), and its values starts from 20, up to 100. The range can be said to be all values of s that are from 20 to 100.

Therefore, the range of the function in the graph given can be expressed as: D. 20 ≤ s ≤ 100.
