Answer:

Measure of angle x is 34°

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the figure where O is the center of the circle

we have to find the value of x.

∠ORQ=62°   (Given)

By theorem radius from the center of circle is perpendicular to the tangent line.

∴∠OQP=90°

As OR=OQ both are the radii of same circle ∴ ∠ORQ=∠OQR

In ΔOQR by angle sum property of triangle

∠ORQ+∠OQR+∠QOR=180°

62°+62°+∠QOR=180°

∠QOR=56°

In ΔOQP by angle sum property of triangle

∠OPQ+∠OQP+∠QOP=180°

x+90°+56°=180°

x=34°

Hence, measure of angle x is 34°

180 - 2·62 = 56

180 - 56 - 90 = 34°

How do you determine volume?
bulgar [2K]

Answer:   V = πr 2 h

Step-by-step explanation:

To calculate the volume of a cylinder, you must know its height and the radius of the circular base (the distance from the center of the circle to its edge) at the top and bottom. The formula is V = πr 2 h, where V is the Volume, r is the radius of the circular base, h is the height, and π is the constant pi.

What is the image of (−8,−8) after a dilation by a scale factor of 1/2 centered at the origin?
Romashka-Z-Leto [24]

Answer:

(-4,-4)

Step-by-step explanation:

Since this is centered at (0,0), we have to multiply the x and the y coordinates by the scale factor.

-8 × 1/2 = -4

A fish population grew according to the following quadratic model, the number of fish a day is given by
Blizzard [7]

Answer: -200

<u>Step-by-step explanation:</u>

P(t) = 800t - t²

P(600) = 800(600) - (600)²

           = 480,000 - 360,000

           = 120,000

P(400) = 800(400) - (400)²

           = 320,000 - 160,000

           = 160,000

\text{rate of change}=\dfrac{P(600)-P(400)}{600-400}=\dfrac{120,000-160,000}{200}=\dfrac{-40,000}{200}=-200
