Function question

read the graph then solve
viktelen [127]

Answer:

  1. g(5x) = 0
  2. x = -10

Step-by-step explanation:

Do what your instructions say: read the graph and solve.

1. In order to find x, you look for the point where g(x) is 4. That point is found where x = -2. (See the first attachment.)

Then 5x = 5·(-2) = -10. To answer the question, you need to find the value of g(-10). Look where the graph crosses the vertical line at x=-10. It is at y=0, so ...

... g(5x) = g(-10) = 0

2. You already found the answer to this when looking for the answer to the first question. g(x) = 0 when x = -10. (See the second attachment.)

Theresa’s computer at home has 1 terabyte of storage. How many more bits of storage does her computer have than the combined bit
posledela

Answer:

Not enough information provided

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the difference between one terabyte and the storage available to the other mediums, we would need to know the storage available to those mediums. They can all have potentially different amounts of storage space, so we have no way to answer that part of the question.

We can however find out how many bits her computer has. There are two lines of thought to follow though. kilo, mega, giga etc each generally note a multiple of 1000 in common terms. In computer tech though, the number 1024, or 2¹⁰, is often used instead.

Starting with the layman's powers of 10, a terabyte is a thousand gigabytes, which in turn is a thousand megabytes, which is a thousand kilobytes, which is a thousand bytes.

That means that a terabyte stores 1 × 10¹² bytes. A byte however is eight bits, giving us 8 × 10¹² bits.

Using the nerdier powers of 2 then, a byte is eight bits, so we'll call that 2³. We then go up by multiples of 2¹⁰. With the same logic above, a terabyte is 2¹⁰ gigabytes, which is 2¹⁰ megabytes, which is 2¹⁰ kilobytes, which is 2¹⁰ bytes. Adding the exponents up, then a terabyte would be 2⁴³ bits

So depending on whether you use the powers of ten or powers of 2 conventions, then a terabyte is either 8 × 10¹² bits, or 2⁴³ bits.

If you want to express the latter as a power of ten for proper scientific notation, then it would be 8.796093022208 × 10¹² - a rather useless way of expressing it, but just to cover all bases.

Mrs.Davis bought 6 pounds of grapes for 18 dallors at this rate how much would 72 ounces of grapes have cost
harkovskaia [24]

Answer:

Cost of 72 ounces of grapes is $13.5

Step-by-step explanation:

In order to solve his problem, we first need to get all the values in the same units.

  1 pound = 16 ounces

∴ 6 pounds= 16×6 = 96 ounces

Now by unitary method, we solve the question as follows:

price of 96 ounces of grapes = $ 18

price of 1 ounce of grapes = $ (18÷96)

∴ price of 72 ounces of grapes = $ [(18÷96)×72]

= (0.1875×72) = $ 13.5

David's optometrist sold him a bottle of eyeglass cleaner containing 30 ml of glasscleaning solution. assuming there are 20 drop
Furkat [3]
Each complete cleaning requires 6 drops of cleaner. Let's convert that to ml:

6 drops 1 ml 3 ml cleaner
----------- * ------------- = ------------------- = 0.3 ml cleaner per cleaning
                 20 drops 10 cleanings

Recall that 1 bottle contains 30 ml cleaning fluid.

How many cleanings is one bottle of fluid good for?

1 bottle 0.3 ml
----------- = -----------   => x = 100 cleanings/bottle
      x 30 ml
