Many Native Americans thought "freedom" meant the ability to keep their ancestral lands, to practice their religious beliefs, and continue their traditions. These freedoms, however, did not integrate well with American society/culture.

One of the reasons why white Americans constantly conflicted with Native Americans was their lack of desire to become assimilated into American culture. Native Americans, for the most part, did not want to be forced to speak English and dress like other white Americans. Many times, the effort to not assimilate backfired, as the government created Indian Boarding Schools in which Native Americans were forced to abandon their language and traditions.

Along with this, many white Americans did not want Native Americans to have citizenship because they felt that white Americans were superior to this group.

Confucius’s teachings are better categorized as a philosophy instead of a religion. Why?
Mrrafil [7]

Answer:

Confucius’s teachings are better categorized as a philosophy instead of a religion because his teachings were not related to any god, but to ethical, moral and philosophical issues of human beings.

Explanation:

Confucianism is a philosophy based on the teachings of Confucius, who was an important Chinese philosopher. He was a member of the Chinese intellectual and managerial elite, whose students recorded his teachings on proper behavior. It is a complex system of moral, social, political and religious thoughts that has had a major impact on Chinese civilization to this day.

In Confucianism, community is more important than the individual. Man is determined by all his relationships and their truthfulness. They believe in the existence of a universal principle that is the source and purpose of behavior. They believe that the evil that man does is not a sin but a transgression against harmony. The unhappy life of an individual is the effect of evil. The ideal is a man with virtues, and the most important virtues are love to others and justice.

<span>The correct answer is B. People's acceptance of it for exchange. It used to be based on gold but it changed to being what is called a fiat currency. That means that there's no physical commodity that backs its value, but rather its value is backed by supply and demand, by banks and the economy, by people and by the stock market. alexandr1967 [171]

There were a number of predecessor agencies to INS between 1891 and 1933. The Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) was formed in 1933 by a merger of the Bureau of Immigration and the Bureau of Naturalization. Both those Bureaus, as well as the newly created INS, were controlled by the Department of Labor.
