A "<em>pocket veto</em>" is a parliamentary move that permit a president or other official with "<em>veto power</em>" (<em>power to reject a bill</em>) to use that privilege on a bill by taking no action. (<em>passive rejection</em>).

In the United States, a "<em>pocket veto</em>" happens when the president does not endorse a bill, and gets wasted due Congress is not in session.
