Extreme heat- Exposure to extreme heat can cause dehydration and loss of sodium through excessive sweating. Also, exposure can lead to heat exhaustion and/or a heat stroke. Exertion in extreme heat can lead to these conditions resulting in hyperthermia (high body temperature)

Extreme cold- exposure to extreme cold can lead to hypothermia (low body temperature), it can lead to frostbite and severe frostbite injuries that could result in loss of function of extremities or loss of extremities. This can also result in loss of life.
