In order to get an answer, you have to have the same denominator which is the bottom number of the fraction. 40 could be one. so you would multiply the top and bottom of the first fraction by 5 which would get you 5/40 and the second fraction by 4 so 28/40. so she can pour 23/40 glasses of milk
