Answer:

Given: r || s and q is a transversal.

Alternative Interior Angle states that  a pair of angles on the inner side of each of those two lines but on opposite sides of the transversal are equal.

By alternative interior angle;

\angle 3 \cong \angle 6

Definition of Congruent angles are angles that have the same degree of measurement.

Therefore, m\angle 3 = m\angle 6    [By definition of Congruent]  .....[1]

Linear Pair states that a pair of adjacent angles formed when two lines are intersect.

therefore, \angle 4 and \angle 3 are a linear pair.   [by definition of linear pair]

Two angles of linear pairs are always supplementary , which means their measure are add up to 180 degree.

By the definition of supplementary angles, m\angle 4 + m\angle 3 = 180^{\circ}                 .....[2]

Substitute equation [1] in [2] we get,

m\angle 4 +m\angle 6 =180^{\circ}

By the definition of supplementary angles,

\angle 4 is supplementary to \angle 6   Hence proved!

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: r || s and q is a transversal .

To Prove: ∠4 is supplementary to ∠6 .

Proof: It is given that r is parallel to s and q is a transversal, then

∠3 ≅ ∠6 by the (Alternate interior angles).

Therefore, m∠3 = m∠6 by the definition of congruency.

We also know that, by definition, ∠4 and ∠3 are a linear pair, so they are supplementary by the linear pair postulate.

By the definition of supplementary angles, m∠4 + m∠3 = 180°.      (1)

Now, Using substitution,

We can replace m∠3 with m∠6 in equation (1) to get m∠4 + m∠6 = 180°. Therefore, by the definition of supplementary angles, ∠4 is supplementary to ∠6.

Hence proved.

Let x be a random variable representing the price of a Congo-imported black diamond. Let the higher price be p. Then,
P(x < p) = P(x < (p - mean)/sd) = P(x < (p - 60,430)/21,958.08) = P(z < 2)
Therefore,
(p - 60,430)/21,958.08 = 2
p - 60,430 = 2 x 21,958.08 = 43,916.16
p = 34,916.16 + 60,430 = 104.346.16

Therefore, The required price is $104,346.16

What percent of people surveyed from San Francisco wear Adidas shoes? Round to the nearest percent when necessary.
Mama L [17]

Answer:

33

Step-by-step explanation:

Add 165 and 80 to get 245. 80 times 3 = 240.

So 80 is around 1/3 of 240. In other words it is around 33%

Find each equation with the correct solution
stepladder [879]

Answer:

15;9;-8

Step-by-step explanation:

1. 5/3x-3=2/3x+12

x=15 once you combine like terms

2. 5x+35-3x+12=7x+2

2x+47=7x+2

5x=45

x=9

3. 12x+20-3=9x-7

12x+17=9x-7

3x=-24

x=-8

Jean and Sarah are buying tubs of ice cream. 2 scoops of ice cream are twice the price of 1 scoop of ice cream. Jean buys 4 tubs
liberstina [14]

Answer:

The answer is below

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x represent the cost of 1 scoop of ice cream. Since the cost of 2 scoops of ice cream are twice the price of 1 scoop of ice cream, therefore the cost of 2 scoops of ice cream = 2x

Jean buys 4 tubs with 2 scoops in them and 2 tubs with 1 scoop each. Therefore the money spent by Jean is:

Money spent by Jean = 4(2x) + 2(x) = 8x + 2x = 10x

Sarah buys 2 tubs of 2 scoops and 4 tubs of 1 scoop. The money spent by Sarah is:

Money spent by Sarah = 2(2x) + 4(x) = 4x + 4x = 8x

Sarah spends 2.50 € less than Jean. Therefore:

Money spent by Sarah = Money spent by Jean - 2.5

8x = 10x - 2.5

2x = 2.5

x = €1.25

Therefore the cost of 1 scoop of ice cream is €1.25, the cost of 2 scoops of ice cream is €2.50.

Money spent by Jean = 10x = 10(1.25) = €12.5

Money spent by Sarah = 8x = 8(1.25) = €10
