Imagine that a plant cell has a damaged large central vacuole that is not functioning. which statement best describes how damage
Serjik [45]

Answer:

The correct answer is D

Explanation:

The primary function of the large central vacuole in a plant cell is to maintain turgor pressure against the cell wall of the plant. This vacuole also perform other functions such as storage (water and other nutrients) and waste disposal. When this vacuole is damaged in plant cells, the cells may no longer be able maintain turgor pressure and store materials (water inclusive). Also, If the cell cannot store raw materials via the large central vacuole, the chloroplast will lack the raw materials required for photosynthesis.

What is the complimentary strand to AGG-CTA_AAC
Virty [35]

Answer: The complementary strand is TCC- GAT - TTG

Explanation: During DNA replication, each strand of the DNA serves as a template for the synthesis of a new strand, thereby producing two new DNA molecules, each with one new strand and one old strand. A template is a DNA strand that would allow nucleotide molecules to be lined up in a specific order and be joined to create another DNA with a unique sequence. This results in creation of a double stranded DNA in which each strand is complementary to the other. In nucleotide base pairing, Guanine pairs with Cytosine while Thymine pairs with Adenine.

G = C while T = A.

How do humans (and other animals) rely on the products of
photosynthesis?
baherus [9]

Answer:

Like plants, humans and other animals depend on glucose as an energy source, but they are unable to produce it on their own and must rely ultimately on the glucose produced by plants. Moreover, the oxygen humans and other animals breathe is the oxygen released during photosynthesis.

We think of termites as insects that “eat” wood. In fact, however, termites rely on a variety of eukaryotic and prokaryotic gut
Ivenika [448]

Answer:

Symbiosis

Explanation:

Termites are the important insects due to its role in in nutrient recycling in the terrestrial ecosystems. Termites eat wood. The wood contain cellulose, a complex carbohydrate which is cannot be digested by most insects such as termites. For the breakdown and digestion of wood is carried out by the microorganisms present in the hindgut of the termites. The microbes live in the gut as a symbiont. The microbes break down cellulose into simple sugars and fatty acids which are easily absorbed into the cells of the termites.
