The external conflict must be B because she misses her family, that's more of a direct. And it can't be D since that can also count as an external (directly). Now it's between C and A. Which one of these are talking about a personal mental problem? A since she keeps thinking about it.

Answer is A.

Internal Conflict: "mental struggle arising from opposing demands or impulses."

D. She does not like living in the big city.

Calin actually liked the woman for whom she was working with. She moved to the city not knowing that she would soon regret it.

Why do people think eye witness testimony is the best
Slav-nsk [51]

Answer:

It's because a person who witness' something, let's say in this case a murder, than the eye witness is the proof it happened if they say he murdered them or not. That person is the proof on the case, and it's important to have an eye witness when there are no fingerprints to be found. The eye witness can identify how tall they were, they're body figure, if they saw any facial features of the person, did they have facial hair, everything that involves appearance. An eye witness is able to identify.

What figure of speech is my . . . love should grow vaster than empires?
Liono4ka [1.6K]
A metaphor

This metaphor is comparing the speaker's love and the way that it grows to an empire that is growing quickly. The visual of love spreading across the world in the same way an empire's goal would be to spread across the world is a strong connection.
