It kills/destroys forests and the animals that live there. Possibly killing endangered animals. To answer the question it kills animals or scaring them off to roam around in other places. And it lowers the amount of trees to take in CO2 and expel Oxygen

In Ambrose Bierce's short story, "An Event at Owl River Scaffold," Peyton Farquhar is a mainstay of the American South, which, amid the period being referred to, the Common War, can be generally meant mean a well off, upstanding native of the Alliance, and an adversary of the abolitionist development.
