Answer: 4/5

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1: Put the percent over 100

- 80/100

Simplify it by dividing both the numerator and denominator by a common factor, aka 10

- 80/10 - 8

100/10 - 10

- 8/10

Simplify it again by dividing both the numerator and denominator by a second common factor, aka 2

= 8/2 - 4

10/2 - 5

- 4/5

Cannot be simplified any further.

Answer: 80% as a simplified fraction is 4/5.

Put 80 over 100 and divide it by the closest multiple factor of both 80 and 100 which is 20.
80/100 divided by 20.
(80/20)/(100/20)= 4/5
