I Muslim terminology this stone is called "Hajr-e-Aswad" which literally means the Black Stone. Some Muslim traditions state that in the initial building of the Kaaba this stone was set from heavens by Allah for the construction of the house though the authenticity of this tradition stands questionable with may Muslim scholars.</span>
