Answer: As i understand, the set is P = {a,b,c,d}

then all the proper subsets are all the sets that belongs to P, that are different of P. Then A is a subset of P if all the elements of A belongs to P, but A is not equal to P

this is:

the sets of one element : {a}, {b}, {c}, {d} and the null set; ∅

sets of two elements: {a,b} , {a,c} , {a.d}, {b,c}, {b,d}, {c,d}

sets of three elements : {a,b,c}, {a,b,d}, {a,c,d}, {b,c,d}

and there arent sets of 4 elements or more.

What is the difference of (3/4x-2/3)-(-5/6-2x)
Alex Ar [27]
This equation is also equal to 3/4x - 2/3 + 5/6 + 2x since subtracting a negative is the same as adding a positive in the long run. First, simplify the variables to get 2 3/4x - 2/3 + 5/6. -2/3 is also equal to -4/6, so -4/6 + 5/6 is 1/6. The simplified version of this expression is 2 3/4x + 1/6. Hope this helps!

If EF=6 and EG=21, find the value of FG. The drawing is not to scale.
pantera1 [17]
You can find the value of FG by subtracting the value of EF from EG.

EG - EF = FG
   21 - 6 = FG
        15 = FG

The value of FG is B. 15 .

After which value of x does function g exceed function f
nalin [4]
We have that

for x=1
f(x)=1.5  and g(x)=-1
so
g(x) < f(x)

for x=2
f(x)=5  and g(x)=5
so
g(x)= f(x)

for x=3
f(x)=9.5  and g(x)=23
so
g(x) > f(x)

therefore

the answer is
<span>After x=2 function g exceeds function f</span>

Find the difference in temperature between each 1000 feet:

From 1 to 2: 30 - 23.5 = 6.5

From 2 to 3: 23.5 - 17 = 6.5

From 3 to 4: 17 - 10.5 = 6.5

The temperature change is constant as it drops 6.5 degrees for every 1000 foot gain in elevation.

At 5,000 feet the temperature would be : 10.5 - 6.5 = 4

At 6,000 feet: 4 - 6.5 = -2.5

At 7,000 feet: -2.5 - 6.5 = -9

At 8,000 feet: -9 - 6.5 = -15.5

At 8,000 feet the temperature would be  -15.5 degrees.
