Women are being advised to sleep on their side in the last three months of pregnancy, women in their third trimester are encouraged not to sleep on their backs. When they sleep on their back, the chances of the heavy uterus can reduce blood flow to the uterus and fetus, which can result in a stillbirth. Also, women are encouraged to sleep on their left side, as this is considered the best choice because the uterus naturally alternates to the right during pregnancy and left-sided lying will bring it more to the center and improve blood flow.

To help her sleep, a pillow can be placed between her legs or a long body pillow to support the back are often helpful. When a pillow is placed direct at her back and front, it helps support her body, resulting in a more comfortable position for sleep.

The major reason why she is having lightheadedness and dizziness when she lies on her back is that the weight of her uterus can compress a major blood vessel, called the vena cava, this then disrupts blood flow to the baby, leaving her nauseated, dizzy, and short of breath.

What happens if the correct ligand binds to ligand-gated sodium channel in a post-synaptic neuron?
Maru [420]

Answer:

Post-synaptic neurons after receiving correct ligands called as neurotransmitter in correct amount generates action potential. This action potential may be inhibitory or accelatory.

Explanation:

Postsynaptic neuron :

These are the neurons that is present after the gap called synapse. These neurons after receiving correct ligands called as neurotransmitter in correct amount generates action potential. This action potential may be inhibitory or accelatory.

There are number of neurotransmitter. These includes

GABA ergic: This neurotransmitter is often inhibitory.

glutamatergic: This neurotransmitter is often excitatory.

Adrenergic: This neurotransmitter releases norepinephrine.

Cholinergic: This neurotransmitter activates vertebrate neuromuscular junction.

Explanation: The options attached to this question are given below:

A) Using computer programs to align DNA sequences.

B) Analyzing protein interactions in a species.

C) Using molecular biology to provide biological information to a system so that it gets expressed.

D) Development of computer-based tools for genome analysis.

E) Use of mathematical tools to make sense of biological systems.

Bioinformatic is an interdisciplinary field that deals with the collection and analyzing of complex biological information. Bioinformatic is useful for many reasons. For instance, in molecular biology, bioinformatic technique makes it possible for scientists to extract useful information from very large complex data. Bioinformatic techniques can be used to carry out all the processes given in the options with the exception of option C.

The manipulation of genes for practical purposes, such as medicine, agriculture, or criminal justice, is called
Deffense [45]

The manipulation of genes for practical purposes, such as medicine, agriculture, or criminal justice, is called GENETIC ENGINEERING. These technologies involve the manipulation of the DNA molecule.

Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) is the molecule that carries the instructions (i.e., genes) for all organisms to develop, survive, grow and reproduce.

Genetic engineering techniques consist of the manipulation of the DNA molecule in order to produce desirable phenotypic features in the offspring of an organism.

Genetic engineering techniques use recombinant DNA strategies to modify the genetic makeup (DNA) of the target organism.
