<span>c.1/2
Assume ther is one of each for size/color combo. there are 12 different trucks to choose from. 4 will be medium, 3 will be red. there is one that is red and medium. Add the probability of medium plus the probability of red, minus the probability of both.
</span>\frac{4}{12} + \frac{3}{12} - \frac{1}{12} =  \frac{6}{12}
<span>6/12 = 1/2.</span>

There is a 1/2 chance that he will get at least one of the two features.

There are 3 x 4 = 12 possibilities. There are all 4 colors of each 3 sizes.

All 4 of the medium trucks have one of the features.

For the other 2 sizes, only the red truck will have one of the features.

There are 4 + 2 = 6 possibilities out of 12 for a chance of 6/12 or 1/2.

A certain pickup truck gets 20mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway. If the driver drives 270 mi on 11 gal of gas, determine
Snezhnost [94]

Answer:

95 city and 175 highway miles.

Step-by-step explanation:

The driver gets 20 mpg in city, and 28 mpg on the highway.

An equation that could be written is

20x+28y=270

This equation accounts for the distance traveled.

x+y=11

This equotion accounts for how many gallons were driven.

Multiply the bottom equation by 20, so you can solve the set of equations.

20x+28y=270

20x+20y=220

subtract them

8y=50

y=6.25

now plug this back into x+y=11

x+6.25=11

x=4.75

Now 4.75×20=95 city miles and 6.25×28=175 highway miles.

Im guessing you meant improper. This means that the numerator is greater than the denominator. An example is 11/4

Suppose Department X is 8,000 square feet, Department Y is 5,000 square feet, and Department Z is 6,000 square feet. What's the
den301095 [7]

Answer:

31.6%

Step-by-step explanation:

it is given that

Area of Department X = 8,000  square feet

Area of Department Y = 5,000 square feet

Area of Department Z = 6,000 square feet

now the total area = 8000+5000+6000

                               =19,000 square feet

Percentage of area covered by Department Z = \frac{area of Department Z}{total area }100%

                                               =\frac{6000}{19000} 100 %

                                                 =31.6 %

percentage of overhead expenses applied to Department Z = percentage of area covered by Department Z

hence we have,

percentage of overhead expenses applied to Department Z  = 31.6%
