Not sure what you mean but here's what i think

1.They are substrate-specific, because it's a lock-and-key mechanism.

2. They are re-used

3. They can catalyze reactions

4. They decrease activation energy

5. They are proteins by nature.

Enzymes speed up reactions by bringing reactants together and reducing the activation energy required to start the reaction (enzymatic reaction). Enzymes are specific: they have a specific shape, therefore only a certain substrate will fit its active site.Enzymes do not affect equilibrium. Enzymes bind transition states (the peak of the reaction coordinate diagram) better than substrates. Enzymes need a lot of energy and are large.

Which microscope is used to observe a specimen that emits light when illuminated with an ultraviolet light?
jonny [76]

Answer: Fluorescence microscope

Explanation:

The basic function of a fluorescence microscope is to irradiate the specimen with a desired and specific band of wavelengths. A fluorescence microscope uses a mercury or xenon lamp to produce ultraviolet light. The light comes into the microscope and hits a dichroic mirror. The dichroic mirror reflects the ultraviolet light up to the specimen. The ultraviolet light excites fluorescence within molecules in the specimen. The objective lens collects the fluorescent-wavelength light produced. This fluorescent light passes through the dichroic mirror and a barrier filter, making it to the eyepiece to form the image.

Why are leaves green?
noname [10]
Leaves are green because of the presence of chlorophyll. The chlorophyll helps the plant in absorbing the lights lights having red and blue wavelengths. It actually reflects the lights with green wavelength. The chlorophyll helps the plants in making food. I hope that this is the answer that has come to your help.
