we know that

the perimeter of a rectangle is equal to

P=2x+2y

where

x--------> is the length side of the room

y--------> is the width side of the room

In this problem we have

x=10\frac{9}{12}\ ft\\ \\y=8\frac{1}{2}\ ft

<u>Convert mixed number to an improper fractions</u>

x=10\frac{9}{12}\ ft=\frac{10*12+9}{12}=\frac{129}{12}\ ft

y=8\frac{1}{2}\ ft=\frac{8*2+1}{2}=\frac{17}{2}\ ft

substitute the values in the formula of perimeter

P=2(\frac{129}{12})+2(\frac{17}{2})

P=(\frac{129}{6})+17

P=(21.5+17)\ ft

P=38.5\ ft

P=38 \frac{1}{2}\ ft

therefore

<u>the answer is</u>

38 \frac{1}{2}\ ft

What's the difference between a independent variable and dependent variable
Travka [436]

Answer:

The dependent variable depends on the independent variable.

Step-by-step explanation:

  • The variable whose values are deliberately changed by the researcher in order to obtain the desired outcome is called independent variable...
  • The values of the independent variable can be changed as per requirement, by the researcher...
  • Manipulation can be done in the values of independent variable, but the researcher observes the value of a dependent variable during an experiment.
  • An independent variable is a presumed cause whereas dependent variable is a measured effect.
  • In a simple linear regression, ‘y’ denotes dependent variable while ‘x’ denotes independent variable, which means y depends on x

Show that (a - b)+(b-c)+(c -a)3 = 3 (a - b) (b -c) (c-a)
nikdorinn [45]

Answer:

I think that it should be

{(a - b)}^{3}  +  {(b - c)}^{3}  +  {(c - a)}^{3}  = 3(a - b)(b - c)(c - a)

Step-by-step explanation:

Here,

we take , a - b = A,b-c = B , c - a= C

A+B+C = 0

we know that,

{a}^{3}  +  {b}^{3}  +  {c}^{3}   - 3abc = (a + b + c)(  {a}^{2}  +  {b}^{2}  +  {c}^{2}  - ab - bc - ca)

Here , A+B+C = 0

so,

A^3 +B^3 + C^3 = 3 ABC

now we put the values

{(a - b)}^{3}  +  {(b - c)}^{3}  +  {(c - a)}^{3}  = 3(a - b)(b - c)(c - a)

I am done .

Are any of these numbers an Integer?<br> 15<br> 20/5<br> 44<br> 13/19<br> -35.47 <br> ;w; help
lilavasa [31]

Answer: 15, and 44 are integers.

Step-by-step explanation: For 15 to be an integer, 15 has to be a whole number. Furthermore, for 15 to be an integer, you should be able to write 15 without a fractional or decimal component. 15 is a whole number that can be written without a fractional component, thus 15 is an integer, as well as 44.
