How do i solve this?

Mathematics

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

f(x)+1 means the graph is moved up by 1

f(x)-1 means it is moved down by 1

f(x+1) means it is moved left by 1

f(x-1) means it is moved right by 1

Keep in mind when it's inside the function it's kinda flipped. since the right is the positive x direction and vice versa.

Anyway, the options show us how the top point is moved. It always starts at (4,1). I will solve the first and leave the others to you, but let me know if yous till need me to walk you through it.

In A the point moves from (4,1) to (4,3) So what does this mean? It means up by 2, since 1 goes to 3. Now, which of the options make the graph move up? the f(x)+1 option. Well, if f(x)+1 makes it go up by 1, then f(x)+2 makes it go up by 2, which is what we want. So A goes with f(x)+2

Without solving determine the number of real solutions for each quadratic equation
seropon [69]

Answer:

b^2-4b+3=0

b²-3x-b+3=0

b(b-3)-1(b-3)=0

(b-3)(b-1)=0

either

b=3 or b=1

.

2n^2 + 7 = -4n + 5

2n²+4n+7-5=0

2n²+4n+2=0

2(n²+2n+1)=0

(n+1)²=0/2

:.n=-1

.

x - 3x^2 = 5+ 2x - x^2

0=5+ 2x - x^2-x +3x^2

0=5+x+2x²

2x²+x+5=0

comparing above equation with ax²+bx +c we get

a=2

b=1

c=5

x={-b±√(b²-4ac)}/2a ={-1±√(1²-4×2×5)}/2×1

={-1±√-39}/2

Mrs. Flores asked her students to write a number, its opposite, and its absolute value, in that order. Four of her students turn
oee [108]

Answer:

Sarah is correct

Step-by-step explanation:

Required

Which of the students is correct

Let a number be x,

Given what the teacher asked the students to do, the solution is:

Number = x

Opposite = -x

Absolute = |x|

Only Sarah got this correctly; others are incorrect.

The proof is as follows.

For Sarah

Number = 1416

Opposite = -1416

Absolute =|1416| = 1416

So, the numbers will be: 1416, -1416 and 1416

Other students are incorrect

Solve for x. Each figure is a trapezoid
Bingel [31]
Pretty sure x is 4 in #9

FG is congruent to ED, and GD and FE are parallel, so that means
16x + 1 = 65

Subtract 1 on both sides you get

16x = 64

Divide by 16 on both sides

x = 4
