We need to find that the probability that the person is male or frequently involved in charity work.

From the attached figure,
Total no of people = 2881
No of Males = 1479No of females who are frequently involved  = 205 ∴ Total no. of males or frequently involved = Sum of both
= 1479 + 205
= 1684∴ Probability = \frac{Total-no.-of-males-or frequently-involved}{Total-no-of-people}
= \frac{1684}{2881} ∴ Probability = 58.45%

A toy airplane costs $4.84.. It costs 4 times as much as a toy car. What is the cost of the toy car? Show your work.
Elina [12.6K]
Cost of airplane toy = $4.84
let x be the cost of the toy car
cost of airplane toy is 4 times the cost of toy car; it means
4x = $4.84
x = 4.84 / 4
x = 1.21
Thus, the cost of toy car is $1.21.
