In this question, we use law of cosine which is

RS^2 = RT^2 + ST^2 -2(RT)(ST) cos T

Substituting the given values of RS,RT, ST , we will get

3^2 = 5^2 + 7^2 -2(5)(7) cos T \\ 9 = 25 +49 - 70 cos T

cos T = \frac{65}{70}

Taking inverse cosine on both sides

T = cos^{-1} ( \frac{65}{70})

T = 22

Cosine theorem
3²=5²+7²-2*5*7*cosT
9=25+49-70*cosT
9-74=-70 *cos T
-65/(-70)= cos T
T = arccos (65/70)≈22°

Describe how you could represent the fraction 4/10 using a model or number line. Dont make the answer huge thank you
Rzqust [24]

Answer:

As a model for representing fractions, the number line differs from other models (e.g., sets, regions) in several important ways. First, a length represents the unit, and the number line model suggests not only iteration of the unit but also simultaneous subdivisions of all iterated units. That is, the number line can be treated as a ruler.

Grace has a 15 inch diameter bicycle tire. How many revolutions will it make traveling 500 feet?
Brums [2.3K]

Answer:

Revolution = 127.24 revolutions

Step-by-step explanation:

<em><u>Circumference of the tire = πD</u></em>

Where D = 15 inch

So,

C = 15π = 47.1 inch

<u><em>In feets:</em></u>

47.1 inch = 3.93 feet.

So, <u>one revolution = 3.93 feet</u>

<u><em>Travelling 500 feet will make the following revolutions:</em></u>

Revolution = 500 feet/3.93 feet

Revolution = 127.24 revolutions
