Answer:

Her adjusted body weight is 78.26kg = 78.3kg, rounded to the nearest tenth.

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the Adjusted Body Weight(AjBW), first we have to consider the Ideal Body Weight(IBW).

We have the following formulas:

IBW = 45.5kg + 2.3kg*i, in which i is the number of inches that the woman has above 5 feet.

AjBW = IBW + 0.4*(ABW - IBW), in which ABW is her Actual Body Weight

So, in this problem:

Each pound has 0.45kg. So her weight is ABW = 220*0.45 = 99.8kg.

The woman is 8 inches above 5 feet, so i = 8.

IBW = 45.5 + 2.3*8

IBW = 63.9kg

Her ideal body weight is 63.9kg. Her adjusted body weight is:

AjBW = IBW + 0.4*(ABW - IBW)

AjBW = 63.9 + 0.4*(99.8-63.9)

AjBw = 78.26kg

Her adjusted body weight is 78.26kg = 78.3kg.

PLEASE HELP ME: the ratio of cars to trucks on a highway at any given time is 12 to 8. If there are always more than 105 cars on
andre [41]

Answer:

70

Step-by-step explanation:

First, set up the ratio of c:t, which is 12:8. Then set up your new ratio of c:t, which is 105:?. The way I find the easiest is to divide 105 by 12, which is 8.75, then multiply that by 8, which is 70. To check if it's right, just divide 12 by 8, and 105 by 70, and if they're the same number, you've got it right.

Ps. I'm guessing you meant to ask the minimum number of trucks, not cars.

Maths Problem. I can't quite explain it, could you help please? Thanks for every good answer. All shown on the picture :)
Nimfa-mama [501]

This is something you would do through trial and error. At least, that's the approach I took. I'm not sure if there is any algorithm to solve. The solution I got is shown in the attached image below. There are probably other solutions possible. The trick is to keep each number separate but not too far away so that the other numbers to be filled in later don't get too crowded to their neighbor.

Side note: any mirror copy of what I posted would work as well since you can flip the page around and it's effectively the same solution.
