The main source of organic matter in soil is
Pachacha [2.7K]
The correct answer is bacteria. Bacteria abundant in soil is the main source of its organic matter. This is because bacteria release energy in their systems which causes the soil to be more fertile and more capable of sustaining plant material. Without bacteria general processes of soil formation will not be possible.

Alex777 [14]

Image is not avilable fo rthe question. The image is attached below:

The phylogenetic tree shown here displays the major clades of chordates.

Which statements about the phylogenetic tree are true?

A) Organism (c) is a common ancestor of lampreys and lungfishes.

B) Birds and ray-finned fishes have a notochord and jaws.

C) Lancelets and coelacanths are more closely related than are chimaeras and coelacanths.

D) Mammals and turtles are more closely related than are lungfishes and sharks.

E) Rays and frogs have vertebrae.

F) Descendants of organism (d) have limbs with digits.

G) Hagfishes, lungfishes, and frogs have lobed fins.

H) Organism (a) is a common ancestor of all chordates.

Answer:

B, D, F, E, H.

Explanation:

A phylogenetic tree is a diagram representing evolutionary relations between species. Phylogenetic trees are not conclusive evidence nor theories. In a phylogenetic tree the pattern of branching illustrates how organisms or other groups developed from a set of similar ancestors.

Some of the examples of phylogenetic tree are as following:

 • A notochord and jaws includes in birds and ray-finned fishes.
 • Mammals and tortoises are closer to one another than lungfish and sharks are.
 • Organic Descendants (d) have wings.
 • Rays and frogs are columned vertebrally.
 • A shared ancestor of all chordates is the organism (a).

Hence, the true options are B, D, F, E, H.

What does a line in between two individuals represent?
OlgaM077 [116]

Answer:

In a pedigree chart, the line which is horizontal shows the parents which mated and produced the children which are represented in the vertical lines below them.

A pedigree chart can be described as a diagram which illustrated the sequence of ancestors of an individual. Often, a pedigree chart is used to look for genetic traits or genetic disorders which might run in the family history. Pedigree charts are important for understanding the probabilities of the offsprings in which a genetic disorder might occur due to family history.

A human baby is born with two X chromosome what must be true about this baby
lesya [120]

The baby will be female.

Explanation:

There are two chromosomes, X and Y. If a baby is born with two X chromosomes, the baby will be female. If a baby has one X chromosome and one Y chromosome, the baby will be male.

These will be in the 23rd pair of chromosomes, or the sex chromosomes. There are also conditions in offspring where a baby will be born with the chromosomes YY, but this is rare.
