The carbon cycle refers to the movement of carbon through the living and non living parts of the environment
Air contains carbon in the form of a gas, carbon dioxide.
Plants and other photosynthesis organisms remove carbon dioxide from the air during photosynthesis
These organisms use carbon to make food molecules.
Consumers break down food molecules to obtain energy
Release carbon dioxide as waste.
When producers and consumers die their remains are broken down by consumers
