50% is greater than 1/3.

One way to figure this out is to convert 50% to a fraction.

100/50 = 2. Therefore, 1/2 = 50%

However, you can't compare 1/2 and 1/3 because they don't have a common denominator (the bottom number.) To make them comparable, you need to find a common multiple.

Let's use 6:

2 x 6 = 3
3 x 6 = 2

Since you multiply the denominators, you need to multiply the numerators as well (the numbers on top.)

1 x 3 = 3
1 x 2 = 2

Therefore, the fractions you are comparing are 3/6 and 2/6. Comparing this to a pizza, 3 slices of pizza out of the 6 slices is more than 2 slices of pizza out of the 6 slices.

Since 3/6 = 1/2 = 50% and 2/6 = 1/3, 50% is greater than 1/3.

Hope this helps :)

Help on how to do this problem
siniylev [52]

Hello!

We can first find RZ. A midpoint is the point right in the middle of a line segment. It splits the line into two equivalent lengths. If z is the midpoint of RT, it therefore splits RT into two equivalent segments, RZ and ZT. Thus, the length of RZ is equivalent to ZT, therefore, the length of RZ is 150.

Next, find RT. We know that RT is made of RZ and ZT, and we know the side lengths of both - 150 and 150. Therefore, add these two together to get the length of RT. 150 + 150 = 300.

Finally, find x. We know that RZ is equal to 150, and we are given 8x - 10 = RZ. Therefore, we know 8x - 10 = 150. Solve this equation for x by isolating x.

8x - 10 = 150

8x = 160

x = 20

Therefore, x = 20.

Your final answer is choice C: x = 20, RZ = 150, and RT = 300.

Hope this helps!

Which of the following values of x make the following functions equal? y =4x+6 and y=5x+3
Arturiano [62]

Answer:

The value of x that makes both functions. y = 4·x + 6 and y = 5·x + 3 equal is;

x = 3

Step-by-step explanation:

The given functions are;

y = 4·x + 6 and y = 5·x + 3

For the functions to be equal, we have that the y values are equal, therefore;

y = y and 4·x + 6 = 5·x + 3, which gives;

4·x + 6 = 5·x + 3

5·x - 4·x = 6 - 3

∴ x = 3

Therefore, the value of x that makes both functions. y = 4·x + 6 and y = 5·x + 3 equal is x = 3.

Find two numbers that have 2, 3, and 5 as factors. What other factors do those two numbers have in common?
Advocard [28]
To find the first number, just multiply the three numbers together.
2*3*5 \\ 6*5 \\ 30

To find the second number, multiply the three numbers together along with another number (this number can be anything).
2*3*5*4 \\ 6*5*4 \\ 30*4 \\ 120

What They Have in Common:
- All numbers will be even, since you are multiplying by 2.
- All numbers will end in a zero, since you are multiplying by 5 and also 2.
