Solitary Savings Bank received an initial deposit of $2000. It kept a percentage of this money in reserve based on the reserve r

ate and loaned out the rest. The amount it loaned out was eventually all deposited back into the bank. If this cycle continued indefinitely and eventually the $2000 turned into $40,000, what was the reserve rate?

Answer:

5%

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that Solitary savings bank received intially amount  of 2000/-

Let x% percent be kept as reserve then (100-x)% will be loaned out which would be deposited in other bank. The other bank would keep x% of 100-x and again loan the remaining amount.

Thus the total deposits of this cycle would be a geometric series as

2000[1+(100-x)%+(100-x)%^2+(100-x)^3+...]

Here common ratio is

\frac{100-x}{100} =1-0.01x for all positive x

This series is infinite and sum of this would be

sum of geometric series

=2000(\frac{1}{\frac{x}{100} } )=\frac{200000}{x}

This is given as 40000

Hence equate and simplify to get

x=5%

So reserve rate is 5%

Let n be the reserve rate. Then:
2000/n=40000
2000=40000n
n=2000/40000=.05=5% reserve rate

What is 5 1/2 multiplied by 5 1/2 as a mixed number or fraction
san4es73 [151]

Answer:

see explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

The first step is to change the mixed number to an improper fraction

5 \frac{1}{2} = \frac{11}{2}, hence

\frac{11}{2} × \frac{11}{2}

= \frac{11(11)}{2(2)} = \frac{121}{4} = 30 \frac{1}{12}

0.14m= how many cm. get it right please
givi [52]
Here, I'll show you an EASY conversion acronym:
Kangaroos, Hopping Down Mountains Drinking Chocolate Milk:
That is KHDMDCM.
Now, here's what they ACTUALLY stand for:
Kilo, (kilometers, kilograms, etc.), Hecto, (hectograms, hectometers, etc.), Deca, (decameters, decagrams, etc.), M stands for THREE things, Meters, liters, and grams, Deci, (decimeters, decigrams, etc.), Centi, (centimeters, centigrams, etc.), and Milli, (millimeters, milligrams, etc.).
Now, you look at the diagram I have provided below:
You put 0.14 under Meters, liters, and grams, because it's 0.14 meters.
Now, whenever you move RIGHT, you move the decimal RIGHT every time you move. If there is a WHOLE number, (like 14), you add a ZERO to the number, so when you would move 14 to the RIGHT, it would become 140. Now when you go LEFT, you move the decimal to the LEFT, and if there are ANY ZEROS, you would take them out.
Now you might get a little confused when moving left;
Look, EVERY NUMBER has a decimal, like the number 14 itself.
14 has an imaginary decimal, which is 14.0. EVERY NUMBER HAS THAT. So, if you are moving LEFT, and you DON'T have any zeros, you would simply have 14 into 1.4.
So, with that out of the way, let's start figuring out how many centimeters 0.14 is equivalent to.
So we move to the RIGHT, because the centimeters is on the RIGHT, and now we move the decimal to the right.
Now it would be 01.4, but it's the same as 1.4, so we'll just put 1.4 under deci.
Now we have 1.4 DECIMETERS, but not quite yet centimeters.
We must keep moving to the right.
Once we move that decimal AGAIN, it is now 14.
WOO HOO! WE FIGURED IT OUT!
So 0.14m = 14 cm.
You saw how we figured that out? You could use this technique on ANY conversion problem like this in the future!
I hope I helped! =D

You would use the A=Pe^rt equation here. A (total amount)= P (initial amount) e^r(rate)x t(time). Here is the equation for you to plug into your calculator. A=350e^0.45x10. The answer is..31505.99596

If tan theta= 15/8, then:
Maurinko [17]
Hello there!

The only thing we have to do here is remember our trigonometric functions!

sin=y/r
cos=x/r
tan=y/x
sec=r/x
csc=r/y
cot=x/y

Knowing that tanᎾ=15/8, we know that y=15 and x=8

Now we need to look at the answer choices and see if they are correct.

A. secᎾ=17/8
Since secᎾ=r/x and r=17 and x=8, this is correct.

B. cosᎾ=15/17
Since cosᎾ=x/r and x=8 and r=17, this is wrong.

C. cotᎾ=8/15
Since cotᎾ=x/y and x=8 and y=15, this is also correct!

D. cscᎾ=17/15
Since cscᎾ=r/y and r=17 and y=15, this is right too.

I really hope this helps!
Best wishes :)
