d. increase range of motion

Static stretching is stretching which is done by stretching the skeletal muscles and holding the movement for a few seconds.

<h2>Further Explanation </h2>

Stretching is the activity of stretching the skeletal muscles to reduce muscle stiffness or increase flexibility (flexibility) so that the skeletal muscles are ready to make more and faster physical exercise movements (muscle contractions).

There are two types of stretching, namely static stretching and dynamic or ballistic stretching.

  • Static stretching is stretching which is done by stretching the skeletal muscles and holding the movement for a few seconds.
  • Dynamic or ballistic stretching is stretching that is done by repeating muscle stretches or reflecting these movements for several times.

Static stretching is common in all types of sports or physical exercises, both cardiorespiratory exercises (endurance, aerobic exercise), resistance training (strength and endurance muscle training or weight training), balance and coordination exercises, such as relaxed walking, jogging, cycling, swimming, aerobics, to forms of games such as tennis, golf, soccer, futsal, badminton, and basketball.

Whereas dynamic or ballistic stretching is usually done if we want to do physical exercises that have a lot of ballistic movements or muscle stretches in a very short or sudden and with relatively large energy. Usually, this type of exercise is physical exercise in the form of a game. However, it is still advisable to do static stretches before dynamic, because the risk of injury due to dynamic or ballistic stretching is greater than static.

A water tank has the shape of an inverted cone (like an ice cream cone without ice cream). the tank is 10m high and has a radius
Nostrana [21]

we know that

the surface area of the top of the water is calculated with the formula of the area of a circle

A=\pi r^{2}

Step 1

Find the radius of the water tank in the middle of the tank

by proportion

\frac{10}{3} =\frac{5}{x} \\ \\ 10*x=5*3\\ \\ x=\frac{15}{10} \\ \\ x=1.5m

so

For h=5 m

the radius is equal to r=1.5 m

Step 2

Find the surface area

A=\pi*1.5^{2}

A=7.07\ m^{2}

therefore

the answer is

the surface area of the top of the water is 7.07\ m^{2}
