Find the perimeter of the kite below, round to the nearest hundredth

Mathematics
1 answer:

24^2 + 7^2 = 576 + 49 = 625

one side of a kite = √625 = 25

7^2 + 4^2 = 49 + 16 = 65

other side = √65 = 8.06

The perimeter of the kite = 2(25) + 2(8.06)

= 50 + 16.12

= 66.12

Answer

P = 66.12 cm

Determine whether the function below is an even function, an odd function, both, or neither. f(x)=x^2+3 Answers choices: A. Odd
liraira [26]

The answer is: B. Even function.

The explanation for this exercise is shown below:

1. You must substitute x with -x in the function:

f(x)=x^{2} +3\\ f(-x)=(-x)^{2} +3\\ f(-x)=x^{2} +3

2. As you can see, f(-x)=f(x), therefore it is an Even function.

Prove that 27 to the 10th-9 to the 14th is divisible by 24
Anuta_ua [19.1K]

Answer:

27^{10}-9^{14}\\\\=(3^3)^{10}-(3^2)^{14}\\\\=3^{30}-3^{28}\\\\=3^{(27+3)}-3^{(27+1)}\\\\=3^{27} \cdot3^3-3^{27}\cdot3^1\\\\=3^{27}(3^3-3^1)\\\\=3^{27}(27-3)\\\\=3^{27}\cdot24

3^{27}\cdot24 is divisible by 24, hence proving that 27^{10}-9^{14} is divisibe by 24

Find the equation of the line. Use exact numbers <br><br>y= ( )x + ( )
PSYCHO15rus [73]

Answer:

y = 3/4x - 2

General Formulas and Concepts:

<u>Pre-Alg</u>

  • Order of Operations: BPEMDAS

<u>Algebra I</u>

Slope-Intercept Form: y = mx + b

  • m - slope
  • b - y-intercept

Slope Formula: m=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Step 1: Define points</u>

Find some points from the graph.

y-intercept (0, -2)

Point (-4, -5)

<u>Step 2: Find slope </u><em><u>m</u></em>

  1. Substitute:                    m=\frac{-5+2}{-4-0}
  2. Add/Subtract:               m=\frac{-3}{-4}
  3. Simplify:                        m=\frac{3}{4}

<u>Step 3: Write linear equation</u>

y = 3/4x - 2
