Greetings!

The Median refers to the middle of the set of number! So line up the numbers from largest to smallest or vice versa:
97,94,89,88,88,83

The middle number(s) is/are:
89 and 88.

Now we can use the same technique to find the mode, using the two number:
=88+89

=177

Now divide the sum by the number of numbers (2):
= \frac{177}{2}

=88.5

The Median is:
\left[\begin{array}{ccc}88.5\end{array}\right]

Hope this helps!
-Benjamin

loris [4]

Answer: Percentage increase is <em><u>87.02%.</u></em>

Explanation: Percentage increase is calculated by subtracting the value in 2012 from the value of exports in 2011 and then dividing it by the value in year 2011.

a. Subtract value in 2012 from value in 2011

b. Divide the answer in part a by value in 2011.

c. Multiply the answer in part b by 100.

We have the percentage increase.

US average math SAT scores follow a normal distribution with a mean of 505 and a standard deviation of 112. A sample of 64 enter
Hitman42 [59]

Answer:

The claim that the scores of UT students are less than the US average is wrong

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Sample size = 64

           Standard deviation = 112

           Mean = 505

           Average score = 477

To Find : Test the claim that the scores of UT students are less than the US average at the 0.05 level of significance.

Solution:

Sample size = 64

n > 30

So we will use z test

H_0:\mu \geq 477\\H_a:\mu < 477

Formula : z=\frac{x-\mu}{\frac{\sigma}{\sqrt{n}}}

z=\frac{505-477}{\frac{112}{\sqrt{64}}}

z=2

Refer the z table for p value

p value = 0.9772

α=0.05

p value > α

So, we accept the null hypothesis

Hence The claim that the scores of UT students are less than the US average is wrong
