To solve for area, you do length times height.( _____| is how it would look like)
So:
The length is 15 1/4 and the height is 13 1/4
Many people think that area is to add, however it means to multiply, so...
15 1/4×13 3/4= 209 11/16 feet
Hope this helps!:)

how do I find the area of an equilateral triangle given the perimeter of 60 and the height of 17.3 cm?
guajiro [1.7K]
If perimeter is 60 so the side is 60 ÷ 3 = 20

Now we can apply the area formula for triangles;

A=\frac{1}{2}.b.h\\
\\
A=\frac{1}{2}.20.17.3=10.17.3=173 \ cm^2

Consider the figure below. Line FG is parallel to line JK.
Svet_ta [14]

Answer:

A. a = 10

B. m<FNT = 120°

C. m<KTU = 60°

Step-by-step explanation:

A. (7a + 50)° and (14a - 20)° are corresponding angles. Therefore:

(7a + 50)° = (14a - 20)°

Use this equation to find the value of a

7a + 50 = 14a - 20

Combine like terms

7a - 14a = - 50 - 20

-7a = -70

Divide both sides by -7

-7a/-7 = -70/-7

a = 10

B. m<FNT = (14a - 20)° (alternate interior angles are congruent)

Plug in the value of a

m<FNT = 14(10) - 20

m<FNT = 140 - 20

m<FNT = 120°

C. m<KTU + (14a - 20)° = 180° (linear pair)

Plug in the value of a

m<KTU + 14(10) - 20 = 180

m<KTU + 120 = 180

m<KTU + 120 - 120 = 180 - 120

m<KTU = 60°

There are as many girls as there are boys in a class. 8 girls went for a dance competition. now there are twice as many boys as
Rashid [163]
Let the number of girls be x and the number of boys be y

The number of boys is the same as the number of girls.
x = y
The number of boys is twice the number of girls when 8 girls left.
2(x - 8) = y

x = y ---------------- (1)
2(x - 8) = y -------- (2)

Sub (1) into (2)

2(y - 8) = y
2y - 16 = y
2y - y = 16
y = 16
There were 16 boys and 16 girls initially.

16 + 16 = 32
There were a total of 32 students in the class initially.
