Answer: It was the Battle of Kettle Creek.

Explanation: The Battle of Kettle Creek was one of the most important of Georgia, occurred on 1779.

It was a minor encounter in the back country of Georgia during the American War of Independence. She was caught in Wilkes County about eight miles from today Washington. The militia force of patriots decisively defeated and dispersed a loyalist militia that was on its way to the British controlled Augusta.

The victory demonstrated the inability of British forces to maintain the interior of the state, or to protect a still considerable number of legalistic recruits outside their immediate area. The British, who had already decided to abandon Augusta, regained some prestige a few weeks later, surprising a Patriot force at the Battle of Brier Creek.

Pavel [41]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

Captain Fuchida considered the Battle of Midway such a devastating loss because, with the United States victory, Japan was not able to further expand its reach on the Pacific during World War II. Instead of generating offensives and attacks, after the loss, Japan only could defend positions in the region, allowing the US and allied troops to advance and gain momentum.

The Battle of Midway started on June 4, 1942, and ended on Luly 7, 1942.
