Answer:

24.74 kg

Explanation:

The formula of centripetal force is given as

F = mv²/r ............. Equation 1

Where F = Force, m = mass of the dog, v = velocity of the dog, r = radius of the circle

Also,

v = ωr .................. Equation 2

ω = angular velocity

Substitute equation 2 into equation 1

F = m(ωr)²/r

F = mω²r................. Equation 3

Make m the subject of the equation,

m = F/ω²r............... Equation 4

Given: F = 32.3 N, r = 1.22 m, ω = 1.07 rad/s

Substitute into equation 4

m = 32.3/(1.22×1.07)

m = 24.74 kg.

Thus the mass of the dog = 24.74 kg

A hydraulic machine has a small piston and a larger piston. Explain how a hydraulic machine multiplies force? What happens to th
Tanya [424]

Answer:

Explanation:

Pressure is equal to the force divided by the area on which it acts. Since the smaller piston has less area so from less force also we can get more efficiency in work. And according to the Pascal's principle, in a hydraulic system, pressure exerted on a piston produces an equal increase in pressure on another piston in the system. Thus by applying little force in the smaller piston, we can get same force from larger piston too. A hydraulic machine magnifies force.

What do we mean when we say that 50 million tons of coal could replace the use of 0.6 MBPD (million barrels per day) of oil used
ololo11 [35]
This statement simply implies that the 50 million tons of coal will produce the same energy output in one year as the 0.6 million barrels per day of oil. Assuming coal is more plentiful than oil, this is significant as 50 million tons is much smaller than 219 million barrels of oil.

shutvik [7]

Answer:2.65 seconds

Explanation:

Let a be the acceleration.

Let u be the initial velocity.

Let v be the final velocity.

Let t be the time taken.

As we know from the equations of motion,

v=u+at

Given,v=0\\u=8.12ms^{-1}\\a=-3.06ms^{-2}

0=8.12-3.06t

t=2.65sec
