Each person can equally get 10 water bottles. With a remainder of 3. It might also be a fraction

You would divide 43 by 4.
43/4 is 10, with the remainder of 3. Each person would get 10 water bottles and she would keep three to herself because we want to split them equally. Now, if people wanted to split the 3 water bottles left to, then they would have 10.75 water bottles...but that is not the case. Also, if the little girl includes herself, then they would each get 8 water bottles and 3 water bottles remaining. If they wanted the remaining, they would get 8.6 water bottles. Anyway...just wanted to put those facts out there. Hope this helped!

A __________________________of a set is those element within the universal set but not included in that set.
shepuryov [24]

Answer:

complement

Step-by-step explanation:

The complement of a set is the set in the universal set that is not included in that set

The universal set contains all elements

For example

U = { 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, }

A = {1, 3, 6}

(complement of A) A' = {2, 4, 5}

write a slope intercept equation for a line passing through the point (2,-2) that is parallel and perpendicular to the line x=-1
vekshin1

You would need two different lines to complete this as lines cannot be both parallel and perpendicular (these are opposites). The answers would be:

Parallel: x = 2

Perpendicular: y = -2

In order to find these, we first need to see that the original line of x = -1 is a horizontal line. Therefore, any line that is parallel should be horizontal as well. To get a horizontal line through the point (2, -2), the only option is x = 2.

Similarly, with the perpendicular line, if the original line is horizontal, the new line must be vertical. The only vertical line that goes through (2, -2) is y = -2.

The admission fee at an amusement park is $2.00 for children and $6.80 for adults. On a certain day, 388 people entered the park
san4es73 [151]

Answer: 188 children and 200 adults were admitted

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x represent the number of children that were admitted.

Let y represent the number of adults that were admitted.

On a certain day, 388 people entered the park. It means that

x + y = 388

The admission fee at the amusement park is $2.00 for children and $6.80 for adults. The admission fees collected on that day totaled $1736. It means that

2x + 6.8y = 1736- - - - - - - - - - 1

Substituting x = 388 - y into equation 1, it becomes

2x + 6.8y = 1736

2(388 - y) + 6.8y = 1736

776 - 2y + 6.8y = 1736

- 2y + 6.8y = 1736 - 776

4.8y = 960

y = 960/4.8

y = 200

x = 388 - y = 388 - 200

x = 188
